Spam configuration

Spam can permanently deleted or moved to a different folder to be manually checked and deleted. Users that use the POP protocol can only access the spam folder via the web interface, so it is recommended that they delete the message.
For POP users or IMAP users that do not want to check their spam before deleting it.

-Log into https://mail.bcsengineering.com/client with your email username and password.
-From the left hand menu select Mail Filters.
-Select "View All Filters"
-Look for a filter with X-Spam-Level in the text, if it exists contact support@bcsengineering.com
-If it does NOT exist select Create New Filter, which will bring up the New Mail Filter Rule page.
-In the top section of that page check "Use regular expressions"
-In the conditions change the Match drop down from "all of" to "any of".
-Then put "X-Spam-Level" in the "If mail header" box and "\\*{10,}" in the "contains" box.
-In the Actions section "Discard the message".
-Click on Save Changes.

For IMAP users or POP users that want to check their spam from the web client

-Log into https://mail.bcsengineering.com/client with your email username and password.
-From the left hand menu select Mail Folders.
-Select View My Folders.
-Select a folder to sort spam into, typically this folder is named Spam.
-To create a folder if one does not exist, Select Create Folder, Enter Spam (or your desired name) in the Name box, and select create.
-From the left hand menu select Mail Filters.
-Select "View All Filters"
-Look for a filter with X-Spam-Level in the text, if it exists contact support@bcsengineering.com
-If it does NOT exist select Create New Filter, which will bring up the New Mail Filter Rule page.
-In the top section of that page check "Use regular expressions"
-In the conditions change the Match drop down from "all of" to "any of".
-Then put "X-Spam-Level" in the "If mail header" box and "\\*{10,}" in the "contains" box.
-In the Actions section select "File Into", and select your spam box from the drop down box.
-Click on Save Changes.
